01

Who we are

Clearspark Digital Studios ("Clearspark", "we", "us") designs and builds websites, apps and digital tools. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

[Legal name and business type, e.g. "Jack [Surname], trading as Clearspark Digital Studios" or "Clearspark Digital Studios Ltd, company no. ___"] · [Postal address] · [ICO registration number, if registered]

Questions about this policy or your information: info@clearsparkdev.com or 07746 591253.

02

What we collect

When you use our contact or quote forms:

  • Your name, email address and phone number
  • What you want to build, your budget and your timeframe
  • Anything else you choose to tell us about your project

When you email, call or message us: your contact details and whatever is in the conversation.

When you become a client: the information needed to plan, deliver and invoice your project, such as billing details and project files.

When you visit the site: basic technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages you view, collected by our hosting provider to run and secure the site and to produce anonymous visit statistics.

We don’t knowingly collect information from children, and we don’t ask for sensitive information such as health or financial account details.

03

How we use it

We only use your information for the reasons below, each with a lawful basis under UK data protection law:

  • Replying to your enquiry and preparing a quote: because you asked us to (steps before entering a contract) and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
  • Delivering, managing and invoicing your project: to perform our contract with you.
  • Keeping business and tax records: to meet our legal obligations.
  • Running, securing and improving the website: our legitimate interest in a site that works well and stays safe.

We don’t sell your information, we don’t use it for automated decision-making, and we won’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

04

Who we share it with

We only share information with providers who help us run the business, and only as much as they need:

  • Framer, which hosts this website
  • Google Fonts, which serves the site’s typefaces (your browser connects to Google to load them)
  • Microsoft 365 (through GoDaddy), which handles our email
  • [Accountant or invoicing tool, if used]

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights in a dispute.

05

International transfers

Some of these providers may store or process data outside the UK. Where they do, they protect it with safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.

06

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t become a project: [12 months] after our last contact, then deleted.
  • Client and project records: [6 years] after the project ends, to meet tax and accounting rules.
  • Website visit data: for as long as our hosting provider’s settings retain it.

07

Cookies

We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary technology to keep the site working and secure, and to count visits anonymously. [Check your Framer analytics and cookie settings before publishing; if you add tools such as Google Analytics, this section and a cookie banner will be needed.]

08

You have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct information that’s wrong or incomplete
  • Ask us to delete your information
